changing content in mailing list from cnc

I have been online since 2001 and we have never launched any kind of email newsletter or anything.

Well, I am getting ready to launch it now. Question is: Is there a way to change the automatical emails that customers get in for the opt in and opt out options.

I don't want them options gone but it seems to be confusing when I read it and I understand the concept of opt in and opt out, but to someone subscribing to newsletter and receiving that email. I feel it could be too much unnecessary information and email address listed.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.
