Spam Assasin.. massive negative score, says not spam, getting rerouted anyway??

I have a few messages, and this has happened before.... but nothing so obnoxious...

I have a message that is coming from an White listed user. The message got rerouted to my FQ spam box (since FQ doesn't allow us to redirect spam elsewhere). When I look at the headers to find out why, it's baffling. It says the message is NOT spam... it has a -99.7 score (because the user is on my whitelist)... I noticed that it did have a couple of attachments (HTML... I hate people who leave this option on, and a gif file). I REMOVED both attachments and resent the message to myself ... my spam account is also whitelisted to send to my actual address. Well... it made it back to the spam box AGAIN. This time with a -103.<something> score.

I have no idea why a plain text message with such a negative score is somehow getting rerouted to my spam account.

Please send the complete raw email, including full headers, to the Service Desk. I'm afraid that answering these types of questions is only possible with details in order to be able to investigate the situation.

I just wanted to follow up on this issue, for anyone else reading along, to note that...

cj did provide the requested data to the Service Desk last night, and it turns out that there was also a custom filter on the email address in question, and that the custom filter is what was redirecting the email, not SpamAssassin.

One our filters was not specific enough. Totally our fault.

Not a problem, CJ. I hope you don't mind our summary/follow-up. It was kind of awkward for us to leave the thread implying there was a problem with our services and no conclusion. So, we just posted a general summary, without too much in the way of specifics.
