Something To Do In November

So, winter draws in and all those lovely time consuming outdoor activities are no longer practical. What to do instead?

Why not try writing a novel in a month?

I was seriously thinking about it, and 1500 words a day (or a bt more) doesn't sound like a lot, but I think not. Got my Mum coming over, so it might be awkward.

I've enrolled my class in the contest - they'll love me for it...NOT. Too bad for them. I like the math possibilities: figuring words per day, words per kid, etc. Pending acceptance, I think we're going to map out the novel by chapter, including a simple outline and a complex storyboard. Groups of three or four kids will be assigned to write the chapters. Some chapters will be written simutaneously, which should assure an interesting clash of style and quality. Will we complete this in a month? Doubtful, but it sounds like fun anyway.

I guess we'll post the work on our class vBulletin so we can write from both class and home. Unless somebody in FQland knows a script better suited to this purpose.

What a great idea. I've signed up! Thanks for pointing this out (in time for me to do something about it).

Nah. I'm an awfull writer.

Just decided to escape the bad Amsterdam weather and travel with my girlfriend to Yucatan, Mexico in November. Two weeks driving around and one week diving in Cozumel/Playa Del Carmen. Seems to be one of the best places in the world to dive. Anyone been there?
