mailto anchor

Does anyone here know how to modify the html mailto anchor tag so that it includes/generates the topic of the email? I believe that I've seen this donw before and I have need of it. I would be most appreciative if anyone could help.

Note the above does not work with all browsers...but is also not known to break anything either...
