Why doesn't work my ICQ chatrequest?

Working with ICQ version 2.0 beta build 1 (PPC):

When I try to send a chat request to one of my friends, it doesn't work at all. How does it come? Does anyone has a solution to this problem?

Are you behind a firewall? This sounds like the problem.

ICQ 2.0 beta on the Mac: chatting is a known problem. I went to the ICQ message board and there are several people with the same problem. These boys from ICQ didn't have a solutions yet. They better hurry. Because I downloaded an icq-clone: Gerry's ICQ:
