Sounds like you selected "Go easy" rather than "advanced". The "easy" option uses jokers nameservers, which they charge for. Using the FQ nameservers you should select the "advanced" option and enter the relevant details.

If, as you say, the domain is showing as using the FQ nameservers then you should not have been charged the extra. Have you emailed joker to ask them?

Yes, and right after I registered the domain name I made the corrections, but was billed anyway.  I guess I'll wait another day or two and see if they respond.  It seems like they could check the records and see where I chose FutureQuest just as I did in the others.  Maybe they are not used to people not being able to figure out their interface without trial and error.  ;-)

Additional Name Service

I'm not quite sure what Additional Name Service is, but apparently I paid Joker.com for it anyway.  I had a hard time registering my site and made a few mistakes, as it was not a simple process if you had never done it. But I recieved messages that said it couldn't be accomplished.  So, I went back and corrected it.  However, Joker billed me for $24 instead of $12 because they said I had special Name Servers for ourcrazyworld.com ... whatever that means.  I registered four domains for FutureQest and the other three were all $12.  They show up basically the same on a who is, all with ns.futurquest 1,2, and 3 as the DNS. Does this make any difference, or a way to charge you more?
Thanks
Tim

Where's the tortoise-moving company Network Solutions when we need them?!    One thing that has not been said about Joker is that they move slow...
