It's Craptacular! / I'm back!

One...   Hey everybody! I'm back!!! It feels great (and is time consuming with all the lights on) to be back here on the forums!

Two...   JulieA, how's the new munchkin coming along?

Three... Here is one solid rock hard cookie for Deb, TeRRa, or Justin. I set up an autoresponder for my root e-mail account (beanies@bid4beanies.com) and instucted people to e-mail everyone@bid4beanies.com thinking that it would be forwarded to the root and the orginal sender would receive the auto "I'm out of town" message and I would receive their msg. What actually happened? The messages sent looped between my root account and everone@bid4beanies.com so long that I did NOT receive any messages in the 2 weeks I have been gone because the original sender got it in an error message! eeek! I came back and I have got to say how craptacularly I set up the whole thing. Is there any way to retrieve all of the messages any more? I still have the responder up a we speak if you want to test it out or something...

Ahhhh the life of a webaholic....

On a mail loop like that, I'm afraid there is no way to retrieve them...  The messages would have been discarded by the Mail server if it saw an infinite loop...

More of what you were looking for is a custom baked 'Vacation' routine that I just did for someone else...  And yes, I used the AutoResponder as well and created that loop you are referring to, so I know what you are talking about...   It takes a clever bit of thought to get around the loop, and is problematic when email has to utilize the 'catch-all' account...

When I find some time, I will try to post up the Vacation routine that I used to pull it off...

Eeeeehhhhh.... oh well, I guess that two less hours I need to spend replying to e-mails if I don't want to be too pessimistic.

Thanks anyways,
