MLM lists

I am attempting to set up a mailing list. When I subscribe on my page using my own email address, I get the following Mailer-Daemon error. What could I be missing here, since the error is regarding the person subscribing.

"Hi. This is the qmail-send program at astro.futurequest.net.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out."

The error message email came to webmaster@mydomain.com and I did not use that email address for anything. I set it up to use administrator@mydomain.com

<subscriber-subscribe-timbuk2=timbuk2...crazyworld.com>:
Sorry, no mailbox here by that name. (#5.1.1)

This may not be the problem, but I do not understand this line in the email...
.

<subscriber-subscribe-tim=timbuk2001....crazyworld.com>:
Sorry, no mailbox here by that name. (#5.1.1)

"subscriber" is the name of my list, tim=timbuk2001.com@mlm.ourcrazyworld.com>: what does this mean? This is telling me that there is no such mail box for timbuk2001.com... which I know there is, but why is it tacking the @mlm.ourcrazyworld.com on the end? Does that mean that my MLM account is not set up correctly or at all?

What are the second and third row of "*" astericks for?
ezmlm-make ~/*** ~/.qmail-*** *** mlm.yourdomain.com {Enter}

Would this then be a correct telnet entry?
ezmlm-make ~subscriber ~/.qmail-*** *** mlm.ourcrazyworld.com

Should I have added the (x) to xourcrazyworld.com?
Should I have put something in the .qmail-??? ??? mlm.domain?

this is giving me a headache! I would prefer to see a little more explicit instructions here. ;-(
Thanks
Tim

Did you use the CNC to create this list, or did you use the command line method?

I spent hours doing it using the command line method with no success... didn't realize you could do it thru CNC until I emailed support. Learned the hard way, thanks.

Tim,

What was the final fix? I am running into the same thing and I used the cnc to start the list?

Well, I went ahead and deleted everything and tried to start from scratch. Here is the message that I get when attempting to mail to the list.

--------<Newsletter@mlm.associatecash.com>:
Sorry, no mailbox here by that name. (#5.1.1)

--- Below this line is a copy of the message.

Return-Path: <webmaster@associatecash.com>
Received: (qmail 14514 invoked by uid 42729); 28 Mar 2000 20:06:26 -0000
Date: 28 Mar 2000 20:06:26 -0000
Message-ID: <20000328200626.14513.qmail@seven.futurequest.net>
To: <Newsletter@mlm.associatecash.com>
From: <dano@associatecash.com>
X-Mailer: FQ::CNC::ezMLM
Subject: AssociateCash.com Update

------------

Do I have to create pop account for Newsletter@mlm.associatecash.com ?

If not I don't know how to work it?

Any help would be appreciated.

Make the list name all lowercase. ezMLM will throw a fit if you use capitol letters in the list name. I have been meaning to fix the CNC to just automatically force lowercase to avoid the situation all together, and I just now fixed it for good (the changes will go into place sometime later today or in the morning).

Hope this helps.

Thank You Justin,

I guess that I should have read the instructions. It says that plane as day. Sorry.
