UBB private forum password

I just created a new, private forum on my UBB ver 5.37. How do the users get the password to enter that forum? E-mail a request to me?

I added a note to that effect in the relevant forum description (on Forum Variables, off the Control Panel.)  The forum description is viewable by all.

The forum descriptions support HTML, even if you have that option turned off for your forums, you can make the "email me" note a clickable mailto link.

Not that you asked , but I also use this embedded HTML to offer links to parts of my site as they relate to the various forums.
