Learning 'bout cgi and perl! Woohoo!!

Wooooooohoooooooo!!!

I just got my *third* ever cgi script up and running -- less than a week from my very first attempt at cgi!! Oh, I like this.

And I'm picking up on the way the perl puts out html, which is good, because this latest script is a search engine submitter, which seems to be quite well coded, but the output/interface falls somewhere between netscape1-bland and just plain hideous. But after studying what coding was there and how it was written, I *think* understand the perl print commands so I can go in and format it much better. Er, I hope I'm understanding it right, anyway ;-)

But the beautifying can wait for now -- I'm just going to sit and be happy that I got it to work!

I guess reading all these posts here about cgi long before I had a cgi-bin of my own apparent sunk in somewhere. ;-)

Then i yelled at him and he fixed it. (by the way, thanks for letting me get that out of my system! (I wonder if you can actually put parentheses inside parentheses like this!)))
