Image Folio Pro 4 software

I got the software to run and I can access the administrator area.

However, I still have two problems.

1. When I try to access the "public" side I get this message - You do not have permission to access this directory. I know there must be a way that I can see the public side of the site. If anyone can help me with this I would appreciate it.

2. I think I have a problem with the spider rate control because all of the images both the photo images I have uploaded as well as the built in logos and buttons, etc. are replaced by red x's. Is anyone else using Image Folio Pro 4 and if so how did you get around this problem.

Thanks.

The first item could be that permissions are set incorrectly on the folders at FQ you're trying to access. You'll need to either use the CNC's File Manager to see the permissions (rights and numerical value are in the right column) or an FTP program.

A red "x" usually means the image that's s'posed to be there just isn't, or the path is wrong. Could also be that filenames are CaSe-SeNsItIvE. Also, right-click on the image placeholder with the "x" and see what the path to the image is, and whether it's correct or not (it should not show /big/dom/xyoursite/ or file://c/ as those are internal paths at FQ or your own PC).

Is it because the images are being called from the /cgi-bin/ or a subdirectory of the cgi-bin and at FutureQuest everything in the cgi-bin is set to execute (to protect data files there and such from being directly accessed)

See if you can configure the images to be placed in and load from a subdirectory of your /www/ directory instead of a subdirectory of the cgi-bin
