Wrong Credentials in IE

So I set up a new virtual directory in IIS to work with a new website that I'll edit with Dreamweaver using coldfusion.

And out of the sudden IE provides the wrong credentials when I try to access my CNC.
I get this:

Authorization Required
This server could not verify that you are authorized to access the document requested. Either you supplied the wrong credentials (e.g., bad password), or your browser doesn't understand how to supply the credentials required.

Service at Future Quest confirmed that some setting in the browser are twisted, but I don't know which ones, any sugestion?

That article indicates IE5.x but I know I have seen similar complaints with IE6 as well but haven't found any specific links for IE related to this.
