Another request for webdav

I'm the volunteer webmaster for two sites hosted on FutureQuest for two Evanston, IL community organizations.

Recently, I learned that the calendar application of the Mozilla/Firefox suite supports webdav. We would be able to share a group, e.g. Board of Directors, calendar and task list. Almost everyone, with few exceptions like myself, are running Windows and are not computer jocks.

However, I believe I could teach them to use Firefox and a groupware calendar and wish to do so using our FutureQuest sites.

I understand that FutureQuest currently does not support webdav, and am hoping they change their plans or someone can suggest an alternative.

Currently, the sites are using phpEventCalendar, but that application does not support groupware use.

Thanks for your help.

Re: Another request for webdav

Officially, we won't be changing our view on WebDAV anytime soon due to security implications...

Re: Another request for webdav

I don't know how this calendar compares to the phpEventCalendar that you have already tried, but it does import/export events from iCal and Mozilla/Sunbird

http://webcalendar.sourceforge.net

I've tested their demo with my iCal on my Mac and it imported and exported stuff OK. Not sure if it fits your idea of easy enough to teach to the Board of Directors, but thought I'd toss it out there, for what it's worth...
