Busted Little IE Images

I'd swear I saw a post on this somewhere on FQ, but darned if I can find it.

The problem...

When I visit any site with Internet Explorer on XP that uses repeated instances of the same small image in a page, they show up busted -- until I right-click and do a Show Image.

Anyone remember the IE fix for this?

Thanks!

They also ought fix the JavaScript errors and the busted links on their site.

This has been annoying me for a couple of years now (I have a considerable threshold for pain).

I've chased it around for hours in the s/e's and at u$'s knowledge debase -- nada.

Somebody around here'll probably know, though!

There's a bunch of stuff here. I Googled for "show image" "internet explorer" bug. It's the first result, titled Browser issues for IT professionals - Internet Explorer Missing (I've become pessimistic about links working).

Yes, I'd seen that link in my travels, thanks; and tried all appropriate measures -- along with a few dozen other things.

I've got this same problem on seven WinXP/Pro/SP1 machines, here... I can't believe I'm the only poor persecuted soul with this difficulty... lol.

I just noticed that it's called "show picture" in my menu. If you've been searching for "show image," maybe you should look at "show picture" "internet explorer".

Yes, you're indeed correct.

Just a momentary typographical discombobulation on my part, though.

It happens a lot when you type before you think... lol.
