corrupted images?

Has anyone here had a problem with corrupted images? I assume that's what the problem is. The photos appear streaked, and I am unable to preview them - in the folder they are not underlined, with a preview link.

Some examples:

I put the .jpg72 on the end because it is a 72 pixel version of the image. Would that cause problems? It was something that was shown to me once, but I wasn't aware that adding a number at the end would affect how the image was read. I may be wrong though.

Hi again Geoff,

Without going into a bunch of mumbo jumbo, much of which I don't even understand...

File extensions are very important as the application accessing the file will look for certain file extension associations and depending on the file extension deal with the file accordingly.

.jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif are all standard graphic file extensions that most browsers know exactly what to do with. .jpg72 causes some (if not all) browsers to stop and say Huh
