google searchbar and weather banner

Hello. I am very new to web design and would like to do two things with my page at present:
1. Put a google searchbar on my homepage. I have looked at the google site, and I can only guess that google does not allow this, though I didn't see it explicitly stated.
2. See a weather forecast for my city on my homepage. I have added the script recommended to use www.wunderground.com, but the banner does not appear in my browser when I go to my page. Similarly, a picture referenced to another site does not appear in my browser. Is this a browser problem, or do I need to fix my site?

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Hi Roy. Here's a page that explains how to add a Google search box to your site:

The weather banner shows up when I look at your site, so you might have a browser problem there. Not sure why that would be the case, though.

As for the picture of you in Oman, I think PBase is blocking people from displaying the images on other web sites. You'll have to upload it to your web site instead, like you did with the picture of Dubai.

And while you're doing that, you should resize both of those pictures to the size you want before you upload them, rather than changing their size in the IMG tag. Browsers do a really poor job of resizing images, and dial-up users will be waiting for them to download whether they want to see the full-size images or not. The Dubai photo is almost 400K!

Welcome to FutureQuest.

Of course I'd recommend you look at the weather images available at http://www.weatherforyou.com/cooltools/. After all, they're on a FQ server so delivery has to be better.
