I've seen a couple of lunar eclipses over the years, but I think this is my first total one. The skies here are just dark enough to see that orange glow in spite of some wispy clouds.

Just a little late for Halloween.

Well that was a cool experience! Never seen one in person before and was somewhat amazed I took some pictures but since I don't have an incredible zoom on my camera I dont think it'll show up that well..

Last year when I was in San Diego on vacation, we were lucky enough to be there for the partial solar eclipse. I had never seen one of those, because it's always cloudy here when they happen. Never fails.

So there we were with our eclipse glasses, sitting on a bus waiting to make the border crossing from Mexico, hoping the guards wouldn't shoot us.

In some ways a good lunar eclipse is more interesting, I think. Maybe because you don't need the glasses, or because you can still see stuff in the shadowed areas.

Wonder how it looks from the moon...

Nope, this time I don't believe the Beatles are the culprit... More likely the many test posts the Team have made and then deleted as well as the spam posts that have been removed...

And I got Post ID# 100,001. That's good enough for me.

Don't complain, Wasser -- you got # 99,999, after all. In the spirit of the moment, I'll even ignore that Beatles slur.

Someone cruel might point out that you got post 100K. That someone, of course, is me.
- Terra and Deb have to answer the prize question, though.
