DNS Question

Here is my tale of woe. I have a site www.oceanviewontheweb.com. the name renewal date came and went and I was 5 days late renewing. In a day my site was back up except for COX which is my Cable Internet provider. On COX the site that comes up is a advertising page with no way to contact it. It is firehunt.com. Researching this I find that this site is on nameresolve.com. Nameresolve.com is owned by Dotster. They have held my site hostage for 14 days now. I can't even work on my site from my home because I use COX. All efforts to contact Dotster have been in vain. NS lookup provided the info below. I t says te old record expires in 12 days (this in itself should not be legal). I waited the twelve days but now we are in day 15. I have no idea what to do. COX is the only Cable internet choice in my area so most use it. 75% of my clientel canot see my site. Can anyone offer any advice?

I would say that COX is the one with a problem here as I see the following for the domain oceanviewontheweb.com from ICANN.

Thanks for your help. I have researched through my hosting company, the company I purchased the name through, the company they are owned by which led all the way to Dotster. They all seem to agree with you....except Dotster who makes it a bit difficult to directly contact them. COX on the other hand either say they are not to blame and pass the blame to nameserver.com or they see what the problem is will have whoever flush the DNS (they have been saying this for ten days now). It is extremely frustrating not to know who to blame or how to resolve the matter. I have a website that is "virtually" useless to most. I was only four or five days late in sending in the funds. This has been a valuable lesson to me in many ways. The latest from COX is that it will now take another ten days to propagate through the internet (if they have in fact fixed it). This sounds wrong to me in light of the fact that it is already propagated through the internet because other servers can see it and have been able to access it all along. Most of the time I love the internet but sometimes it is so frustrating.
