Eyewitnesses say TWA 800 was shot down

I recently received a junk email in my hotmail account
from sales@twa800video.com. The site address caught
my attention so I went there and found this page:

http://www.twa800video.com/aim_story.html

Disturbing to say the least.

Seems a bit shady when they are trying to sell you a video....

There is always the possiblity that the information presented
there is not legitimate.

But on the day after TWA 800 went down, a major network
news program broadcast a very short interview of two
military pilots who stated that they saw missle trails in the
area where it went down. I only saw that interview once and
was always curious why it was never broadcast again.

Because the information on the subject website reminded me of
that interview, I hesitate to dismiss the solicitation for a video as
*shady*.

A spammer, attempting to make money off paranoid fears?

You're right, he couldn't possibly be shady.

Those claims were investigated. I forgot the details, but I think investigators concluded that a trail of debris or ignited fuel could have caused the illusion of a missle traveling toward the aircraft.

Things like this aren't passed over, no matter what conspiracy theorists want you to believe. I remember one time (maybe it was the same incident) a chemical that indicated a bomb was detected in the wreckage of an airplane. Someone said that the chemical is found in glue used in the airplane and someone said that glue isn't used in that airplane, or something like that, and I never heard the conclusion, but I didn't care much because what glue is used in the building of a commercial aircraft is pretty easy to determine. I'm sure investigators came to the right conclusion.

Thank you. I hadn't heard that as a possible explanation before.
