Re: [FQuest Alert] PT05 Server

As far as we know PT05 is back in full production.

There are no plans to reboot it in the near future however it is running on temporary hardware so something will have to be done at some point.

All during that fsck process I was trying to get the old hardware to work and I didn't get anywhere so it will likely stay as it is until we decide what to purchase as a replacement.

Thanks for the info. Is there another MASH on standby?

Re: [FQuest Alert] PT05 Server

We generally keep one MASH system for each type of server. This is the one that was for systems with 3Ware hardware RAID arrays (PT05 was actually running hardware RAID10 across 4 drives) and there was only one of them. Luckily it is pretty rare that we have a complete server hardware failure.

Unfortunately, no - as our focus was on getting PT05 back into production... To have gotten that number would have required a fair amount of work digging through 16 MX servers and cross correlating to find each emails final mailbox destination...

I think the most important thing to say is that there was no email lost, and whatever came in was properly held (by design) on the MX servers until the PT05 server came back online upon which the MX flushed their queues and the PT05 server deposited every email into their proper place...

We don't mind going the extra mile to ensure your email is handled with care...
