Can one collect mail with Thunderbird with this account?

I have a FutureQuest package; but, I have a reason (that has nothing to do with FutureQuest) for wanting a mail account on another server separate from FutureQuest. I am looking at setting up an e-mail account at dotster. Here's the link:

http://www.dotster.com/dotster/email/

Is this the kind of e-mail account that I can use a standard e-mail client, like Outlook or Thunderbird? I'm not fond of web mail.

Move your domain reg. to Gandi and get free email with a good company.

I just bought the domains related to these e-mail accounts two days ago. I don't want to move them just yet.

Alex,

How about Gmail? Using Google Apps?

Those can be accessed online or using a standard email client as far as I know.

I want the domain name I bought to be part of the address.

info@mydomain.com, not gmail.com.

You can do that with Gmail Apps

Basically Gmail handles your Domain Mail. I posted something about that about 2 years ago IIRC and will hunt for it..
