font search
Hi again
So, I am looking for a fiont, and have no idea where to begin, I have looked briefly at chank.com but it seems like I am looking for a needle in a haystack. Have any leads for me on buying this font?
Anyone seen this font? Know it's name?

This is a font finder that works by asking a series of questions about the font. Maybe it will help if no one recognizes it right off... I don't, sorry.

Yeah, I tried it. It was not helpful, unfortunatley. It gave me some simple serif font, can't remember the name, but it was way off.
Thanks for the link, however.

The lowercase letters are very familiar -- it's hard to be sure at that resolution, but I'd bet on ITC Mona Lisa Recut or an equivalent (I've seen it in other guises, but those ascenders are a dead giveaway). I think the second line is another font altogether, however. That could be complicating your search.

ahhh. I think you may be right. The ITC Mona Lisa looks like a good match for the top line. The bottom line has dots in the letters. Kinda cool. Thanks for the link to ITC Mona Lisa

I'm pretty sure I've seen the second font, too. Not having any luck so far, but I'll keep looking.

I tried using WhatTheFont (keeping in mind that using larger examples of letters generally provides much better results):

ITC Century Handtooled and Chevalier are the closest matches I can find, but it seems to lie somewhere between the two (Century Handtooled is definitely the closest of those two).
Mona Lisa looks really close though, probably the best choice of the lot.
