Having used a Psion 3c for a couple of years, I was always a bit sceptical of Palm type devices (no keyboard -- that can't be much use!).
However, after playing with a friend's Palm V I was really impressed with how easy it is to use, and amazed to find that the Graffiti text input actually works well. There is also a stack of third party software available.
I bought a Handspring Visor deluxe a few months ago, and I am well pleased with it. It's easy to use, and the synchronisation with a PC is extremely slick! Plus with all the Springboard modules being developed, there's no end to the gadgetry. It would even keep Justin amused for a day or two . . .
If you haven't got a copy of HackMaster yet you should get one right now, and have a look at some the utilities that are available for download. I particularly recommend MiddleCapsHack (essential!) and TealLaunch (useful). The best site I have found for software downloads is
www.palmgear.com
