form to email gateway

I am looking for a package that will let visitors to a website fill in a form, then send the contents of the form as email to a third party.

Suggestions? I've looked around and located such packages as cgiemail, alienform, Doug's WWW Mail Gateway.

Security is a concern. The client has moderately high visibility/traffic.

Thanks,

Cheryl

cgiemail is supposed to be secure, in the sense that it logs the IP address in the email header of each message sent. Therefore, if you had someone using your form inappropriately, you should be able to determine who to report them to.

I've not heard of the other scripts you mention.

You are welcome to try Gypsy Mail, which is a script I wrote. It is a clone of cgiemail, designed with security, ease of installation, and flexibility in mind.

Good luck!

P.S. You can try Gypsy Mail out, here:

I am a cgiemail user myself, but Shelia's program is very cool too.

My own application of the program is to somewhat automate user submissions to my site.

Here's a sample:

http://www.cgspouses.net/community/f...aces_new.shtml

Once submitted, that form writes to this text file:

http://www.cgspouses.net/community/friends/faces.txt

. . . and it comes to my email all HTML-preformatted. All I have to do is review, copy, and paste.

There are other threads here regarding the program, just hit search.

Edit: You may need to view the .txt file in Netscape, IE is trying to make an HTML page out of it
