EZMLM interface

Hey for all of you people out there who would like to offer your clients an easier way to access EZMLM and send messages to it, I'm trying to develop a php/mysql script to handle moderators/mailing from a web interface. It will be compatible with the EZMLM system on Futurequest. Would anyone be interested in a script like this for a small fee of $19 USD? Lemme know.

Due to upcoming changes with the ezMLM functionality -
FutureQuest, Inc. cannot recommend nor endorse this program being offered...

ezMLM is currently being abstracted, therefore rendering any programs that rely on ezMLM being local to a server will no longer work...

Though I cannot discuss any further ezMLM details, I did want to mention that you might want to think twice before spending $19.00 for something that we are about to turn into a pet rock...

Umm...ok, I guess I'll wait before I do coding to see what Futurequest does. However at least a little bit of information would be nice to have. Is EZMLM being moved to a different server completely? Will the same functionality that's in the CNC panel still be there? Will there be more? Just wondering what to expect. Thanks.

By the way, the reason for this script, is that I have clients who are email illiterate and would want to send email via a web panel. But I of course don't want to give them access to my CNC. That's all.

As this is an ongoing development project, I can only provide a couple minor details...

1) Yes, ezMLM is being detached from the Community Servers
2) Yes, we plan on offering a much more robust mailing list system

The direction we are moving is built around a closed control API that site owners will not have access to other than using our CNC... This was a design decision made because we want to retain the ability to adjust the API without affecting anyone externally...

IOW: if we give you the API - and we later change it for whatever reason - your program breaks due to potential semantic changes... We also do not have any intention for opening up our API at this time for competitive reasons...

Sorry, but that is just one of the tradeoffs for ensuring scalability and managed systems growth...

In light of all this, I have made note of your concern and will see if it fits anywhere within the scheme of design...

Shouldn't that be "I see a red door and I want to paint it black?"

Nah, it was in reference to several 'Black Box' solutions that are being developed behind the scenes...

However it was a play off the Rolling Stones song though...

OK I see. I was just too stupid to catch that

You might want to try Mozilla. While there are still several quirks it is passing IE in functionatility. Ocasionally I have to reset it, but the tabs and gestures are way cool

Are these comments from Terra only pertinent to the ezMLM, or are they pertinent to all mail services?

I guess what I want to know, is will we still have the ability to use the .qmail files and other Qmail capability that we currently have, for filtering or otherwise handling and processing our email?

At this time it's best to wait for the "Officiall Announcement" noting that FutureQuest's intentions are never to make your lives more difficult...quite the contrary

I hate to see too many questions/answers on something that hasn't reached its final release date yet. It's close but there are still some finer details being ironed out and answers today could easily change by tomorrow.

I realize that. It's one of the things that makes this place great. You are always looking and working to improve things. I certainly appreciate that.

Sorry. I understand your position, and don't mean to be a pest. I guess I was just concerned about things with my current set up going wrong, and needing lead-time to get other arrangements together.
