Easy entry-level hosted cart and payment gateway

I've just found an excellent service for small on-line stores, which may be useful to other people here.

www.mals-e.com offers a hosted shopping cart and secure payment gateway with various customisation options.

It's not as flexible as running your own system of course, but it's easy to use (for you and for potential customers), doesn't rely on Java or JavaScript and it's FREE! If you need automated payments, then there is a premium service too, which costs a massive $5 a month!

I've got no connection with the company BTW, but I am just completing a site that will be using their system and so far it is excellent.

Re - easy entry-level cart

Hi, John - in the past I used Mal's ecom for a couple of small sites; it worked well and I was pleased with it.

Since then, I joined the eGreyl Group to produce an online-shopping cart with it's own website which can be edited entirely online. The features include categories, uploading images, fully searchable database of products ...... and much more besides.

(but then, as I'm quite delighted with our new product, I'd better shut up!!)

To recap, Mal's eCom service was a great starter.

One of my favourite things about mals-e is the flexibility to add shopping cart tags to exisiting web pages, without having to rely on the cart to produce the web pages on the fly!

I was amazed to see how few products are available that will integrate with a conventional web site, rather than trying to do it all . . .
