Yahoo listed my site in the wrong category.

Folks:
Yahoo, after being asked 5-6 times, finally listed my site: her.ph

But, they put it in this ultra-lame category, which only remotely resembles what the site is about:

http://dir.yahoo.com/Regional/Countr...ions/Wireless/

They completely disregarded the category I requested, and they assumed that the site was strictly related to Philippines, when in fact it is predominately U.S. and Canada related.

Can you recommend how I should request a category change, particularly given that it took 5-6 tries to get it listed in the first place AND that took about a year to do.

And it searches really badly...

Well, this has to be the all-time most difficult site to find. Since it gets listed in bottom 10% of the mountain of matching sites:

http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=pho...hs=74&b=66&h=s

Here is my theory, ahem. This was not a mistake. This was intentionally done. Yahoo wants to place sites in odd locations in order to encourage people to continue to search and drill down -- thus displaying more banners, and earning more profits.

Obviously, it could also be that they mistakened what your site is about.

I suppose you should contact them regarding your listing. Be sure to add big bold text to your web site "Her.ph, the source for AMERICANS online" blah blah. Make it so fool-proof that it doesn't matter how lazy or inconsiderate the reviewer is, they'll notice.

Sorry, I don't have any contact information. Comb the Yahoo site for forms for modifying listings.
