Yahoo drops Inktomi for Google search tech.

Here's some news that may affect you if you get click-throughs from Yahoo via Inktomi:

I do get quite a bit of traffic from Yahoo/Inktomi, however I'm also indexed all over Google - so coupling Google's great engine with Yahoo's traffic... I don't think this will be a bad thing

Today I noticed the first hits coming from http://google.yahoo.com.
I was indexed 2 places higher with ink.yahoo.com

Did anyone get spidered like there was no tomorrow (?) by google last Friday, end of the month?  I got over 900 hits by them -- I didn't even know I have that many pages -- in succession on one site and nearly two hundred on the other!  I've never seen them do anything nearly to that extent, so I doubt it would be just a monthly or quarterly thing.  My guess is it's somehow related to Yahoo picking up their services, but I'm not quite sure why.

Pier, what exactly do you mean by "indexed two places higher"?

If there was no tomorrow, I wouldn't think there would be much reason to even worry about a search engine having a lot of links... I would think there would be other things to worry about, like stocking up on batteries and toilet paper...

PS - just checked my stats, and I show 78 hits from "Googlebot" recently (sometime within July)...
