FQ Banner ad script

http://www.sklar.com/dad/

I finally found what I'm lookin fer... (isn't that a song?

A FREE banner ad script that works with mod_perl and SQL called DAD. It looks cool..

Think is, it makes you modify httpd.conf... which makes it sound like a job for Terra.. so I was thinkin...

a few months down the road, when things are settled... perhaps Terra could make this puppy into some sort of multi-user sorta thing for FQ as a whole or some of its accounts.. hmmm?

No rush on it.. take a look and let me know what you think of it, tho.

Jake

What exactly does it have to do? Just random rotation? Maybe with click-logging? And simple statistics?

Me made one... lemme know if you want it (free of course).

We'll probably use MyAdServer for the banner roatations

It has an AWESOME interface -- all kinds of tools -- great stats etc.....

hehe - Well, since I was already almost done with mine (great practice in Perl, BTW), I went ahead and finished it up. If anyone wants to check it out, I have a demo up, which you can play with - it's not the one used on my site, it's a separate copy.

www.vdj.net/cgi-bin/demo/banner.cgi?do=menu

This is the control panel for the script. When prompted for a password, type 1234

You can play around, just don't change the password And don't delete all of the banners. Feel free to add, though

Oh, the clicks are made up, too - just to show how they'd be displayed. I don't really get that high of a click through ratio (wish I did, though )
