NINER NINER

All services down at tygresystems.com.  Tracert appears normal.  Checked through FTP, telnet, POP, browser.  Sub-domains also down.

Can someone poke Nine for me?

Please give it 20 minutes to cycle, if you should notice it down...

This is NINE's last chance, as I'm moving in the 2.2.11 Kernel...

If this fails, then both SIX and NINE are going to be gutted and downgraded to 2.0.36...

Over 5 months of work, blown to heck because of an unstable kernel 2.2.x series...

LOL.  Go for it Terra - do what you gotta do.  I did a mainboard transplant today and in the end had to kill the onboard sound.

Never again will I use a PC100 board - at least until they can prove to me it doesn't take a PhD to fix their problems...

You're not the first one to get burned by the 2.2.x kernel.  I know another host was just getting ready to switch to a new server when it spiraled down the whole thing.  He went back to the old kernel... decided he had given up enough blood and sweat being on the bleeding edge.

Hmmmm... many 20 minutes have passed.  Is this worse that expected?

NINE's been up for a about an hour now... apologies for the delay but as you have assumed, bringing it back up took more than was expected.  We are also gearing up to bring multiple new servers on-line that will clone the TAZ server.

The new builds (SIX & NINE) can no longer be worked on as it is causing to many losses for all involved.  As the TAZ clones are built those still on SIX & NINE will be migrated off and onto the new ones.  We are also considering the option of a 'real-time' downgrade... e.g. one extended downtime to bring the SIX & NINE servers to TAZ's level to prevent the current situations.  Once we have final word on what exactly is going to happen we'll of course keep you posted.
