500 error in calendar script

I really can't figure this out. I have three calendars set up in  different directories. I have two that work and one that says 500 internal error. I have chmoded like crazy and checked several times to see if the permissions are the same but I just can't seem to get it to work. There was something somewhere about not chmoding to 777. Is that affecting the calendars?

I'm getting a 404 Not Found error on the third one, which probably means you have the URL incorrect as posted.

I think julieA means
http://www.julies.net/cgi-bin/aces/calendar.pl?

(lower case rather than upper case)

I changed it to aces thinking it might be a case sensitive thing since I don't really know much about doing this. The others were all lower case so i thought that might be what was wrong. Still can't do it though. Should I chmod each file individually or just the directory. I thought we couldn't 777 anything on FQ!

what does premature end of script header mean? That's what the error log says.

Now I see the 500 error...  Did you set up the two calendars that work?  If so, I would just copy over the calendar.pl script from one of them to the aces directory, get that working (won't overwrite your calendar data), and customize as desired.

Log into your CNC module at:

www.julies.net/CNC/

Then look for a link called Troubleshooting.    From there you will go to the Script Troubleshooter link and follow the directions to test your malfunctioning calendar script.

It will definitely be a start at getting clear, concise ideas as to what may be wrong with that particular script.  Best of luck to you.

Muchos Gracias! Super thanks.
Since it works perfectly on the FIRST correction.

PS I also found another "workaround" at matt's site in which I simply created a second calendar within the same calendar directory and simply configured it differently.

THanks again.
