OK, after visiting their support board for only a couple of minutes, and searching in the "Installation" forum on "graphic" I find that, in fact, the script is configurable as to where you put the graphics. It's just that the default install is in a subdirectory of where you put the rest of the script files.
Matter of fact, this script comes with a very nice web-interface for configuring the board.
I just don't want to give this script a bad name because I was up at a ridiculous hour installing it, and apparently not thinking clearly.
