filtering spam from emails

I see that qmail can use the MAPS RBL (see http://www.qmail.org/rbl/).

Is this a feature that can be enabled on request for domains hosted here?  I'm programming-impaired but want to take a step against spam.

If so--I'm in for both hosts I have here...otherwise, is this worth investigating?

Thanks!

Took me a minute, but I found my post on this:
http://www.aota.net/ubb/Forum1/HTML/000287.html

Problem is censorship, false positives, and uselessness...

Spammers are getting *very* creative about staying off the RBL lists by using open relays...

Consider if HotMail / MSN / IBM.net / AOL were on the RBL list (for which they should), then we would have a mess on our hands as valid email would not get through...

The RBL is an all or nothing proposition and cannot be targetted to one specific domain...  It integrates directly into the QMail core and would affect all mail it sees...

I've tried different methods, but so far nothing has worked cleanly yet...
