Letting an IRM expire (on purpose)

Hi,

I have a domain name due to expire within the next week or so. The site in question exists here at FQ as an IRM, and I am probably not going to renew it, as I think my efforts and resources are better spent on some of my other sites.

Is there anything special I should do on the FQ end prior to or after the expiration? I plan to delete the folder in which the IRM resides, back up the contents (probably not in that order ), and get rid of any links I have to the expiring site, but I am wondering if I need to inform anyone at FQ or do anything else special?

Ted,

You would want to cancel the IRM, in the event you wanted to add another in the future.

To request Package cancellation, including IRs, visit, http://www.FutureQuest.net/Billing/Cancel/ and fill in the appropriate information.

Once the form is submitted you will receive an immediate auto response requesting confirmation. After confirming the request the IR mapping will be removed from the system. No files are touched by us in this process.

Thanks Bob,

That's a good point I will request package cancellation as soon as I irrevocably decide that I am going to let the domain in question expire.

I have no personal experience with selling domains but as long as you have control of it you may as well throw up a simple offer to sell the domain.

Re: Letting an IRM expire (on purpose)

Thanks Kevin,

I don't think I really have time in this case (or that the domain in question is worth very much), but it's a good thought.
