Here are some details that may help: a message was sent from a frontiernet.net user to my FQ mailing list:
csh1@lists.cfidsselfhelp.org. Based on the message from the remote host (553 sorry, relaying denied from your location [69.5.6.150]), (an FQ IP address) I came to the conclusion that the recipient host doesn't like the FQ IP address. And yet I've never seen all this 'relay' stuff, and the relay seems to have occured inside of frontiernet. So I'm all confused. I've been in contact with both the sender and the receiver and they both want to send & receive messages to this mailing list. I'm thinking that one of their hosts has a problem with our IP address, but I'm not sure which one. Both users have been actively using the mailing list over the last 6 weeks, and this just came up for the first time today, so I guess a new policy has been implemented someplace.
My users are dazed, confused, and frustrated. If I can figure out more clearly what this message means, maybe I can help them resolve the issue with the appropriate host.
Thanks for any help! - Jan
