Oogerly and weendy and snowferbleephy

More snow. Nobody said anything about (URF / SNOP / GRRR / AIEYEEYEE) snow, did they? Woop woop. Looks like everybody's trying to get home all at once, oofoo oofoo. But not me. No, I will wait for them allllll to leave, then I will sneak away een the night. I have fooled them, ha ha! Sniffer oo-oo.

Besides, I'm so punchy right now that I'm typing to da beat. Best to wait, or my dancing will disturb them and enlarge them like muffins.

Back to work, eepee eepee.

I heard snow was coming. You need to move to a warmer climate. I don't like cold, but I like show. I like shoveling it, walking in it, and maybe some of my like for snow is ingrained in me from the days when it meant no school.

I'm not sure if your dancing will enlarge the snow flakes or the cars, or if they'll be enlarged to the size of muffins or enlarged the way muffins puff up. Work this all out in a diagram in the snow and before you know it you'll be taken away to a nice warm place where you could relax, and where they change the sheets for you.

Only if I can indulge my new jazz career. I never would have guessed that an adding machine and a Gateway keyboard could be so musical.

A coworker just called from the road (he left here over an hour ago). Thinks I should fill the tank before I get on the highway.

I'm getting ready to leave now -- I think it's gonna be a loooooong trip.

Well, I made it home alive. Only took about 90 minutes more than usual.

There are two kinds of people in the world, Wass. People who hate snow, and people who don't have to drive in it.

Re: Oogerly and weendy and snowferbleephy

And how about that wind????? I mean, my windows are rattling more than they do during a mid-summer thunderstorm. This is crazy.

When I got home from work today, my screened-in porch looked like a walled-in porch, the snow had blown into the screens and turned them solid white! You couldn't see through them at all!

My fiance just called. Her work let her out early (she usually works until 11:30, they let her out at 8:30). It's taken her (at the time of her call) an hour and 15 minutes to go 13 miles (on the highway!)

I'm just glad I didn't have to go anywhere tonight.

Oh - and of course with this much wind blowing the snow and creating white-out conditions, my satellite TV is on the fritz (it's "working", but not so well that it's enjoyable to watch). So I've been stuck with DVDs for the night (not necessarily a bad thing, either, though).

Yeah, the wind is pretty impressive. Normally my car doesn't really get knocked around below 50 or 60 mph, but tonight I could feel the air pushing back at 40. And every so often you have this swirl of snow blowing around you, like something out of Antarctica.

I hate winter.

Re: Oogerly and weendy and snowferbleephy

I drove home from NYC to the sanitorium at about 9pm this evening...it wasn't too bad...some blowing snow, and the roads were mostly dry. But that wind...

It's was pretty much white knuckle holding on to that steering wheel hoping I didn't get blown off the highway. There weren't any semi's on the road---they were all pulled over to the side idling.

The sucky part, besides the wind, was that people were driving really slow even though the roads were fine.
