I saw a comment on the newsgroups tonight that gave me a chuckle

See what kind of reputation you guys are giving us?!?!
Seriously, the many rave reviews are what we survive on. The growth is dependant on your reviews and the upgrades are dependant on the growth.
I've personally spoken with many hosts that are spending a great of amount of their revenues on marketing and who have asked us time and time again where we are getting the funds to be able to perform many of our upgrades, w/o the boost from investors and loans. One of the main answers is because of our client base being of the type with
big mouths! *g* Seriously, as long as you all continue to keep the "word-of-mouth" aspect of business alive, FutureQuest is able to continue allocating "marketing funds" into technology and service improvements.
Andrew & I originally felt that if the site owners receive more than they expected from FutureQuest, FutureQuest would receive more than it expected from the site owners. The awesome part about this theory is that it seems to be working!
As we've grown, we have in fact managed to upset some site owners (surprise!) and yes, they do make it publicly known. (Ouch! That always hurts!). However in the name of healthy hearts and stress reduction we try to learn from the mistakes made as well as understanding that no host is able to successfully please every site owner. This isn't always the fault of either the host or the site owner but rather a compatibility flaw. What we do promise is that no matter how big or small the problems, we will consciously make ourselves aware and strive toward solving all of them. A childhood mentor of mine often pounded the phrase "Reach for the stars and if you miss at least you will still touch the moon" into my head. I guess it stuck.
So for those already on the Quest, and those considering taking the trip, it would be unrealistic for you to feel you've found the "perfect" host, but rest assured you've found one that has real live living breathing humans working to keep it going -- the type that enjoy interacting with the real live living breathing humans that use our services -- and the type that believe w/o site owner feedback, satisfaction, & participation, we are nothing.
Some call it marketing, some call it honesty, (I saw someone call it hype and a blanket to cover our faults) but either way I assure you the flash intro and web site that raves about community interaction and the fact that it is the community which makes FutureQuest different, is
reality.
In my overly verbose ways, I'm saying thank you. I couldn't begin to tell you how many times a kind word and satisfied review has 'saved the day' for the FutureQuest team as a whole. It's an excellent feeling to see that so many can share in, and understand, the dream Andrew & I had over 2 years ago. Hehe it takes a special breed to understand anything about Andrew & I

At any rate, we'll keep striving toward perfection as long as you all keep pushing us in that direction. The last thing I want to do is make liars out of you
Thank You <<== For all that phrase means and then some.
