Port 1025 Questions

Hi everyone

As some of you are aware, Terra implemented the ability to send email via Port 1025 almost two months ago. The details of which may be read in this thread:
http://www.aota.net/forums/showthrea...181&perpage=10

In checking our FAQs we realized that this had not been updated in any of them. (Read Deb noticed and started hollering) So in the name of progress we are planning to provide a FAQ regarding this. However additional input from users of different email clients as well as AOL users would be greatly appreciated.

We have the following information from the above thread at this time:

These email clients can be configured to use Port 1025 rather easily,
Outlook, Outlook Express, Opera, NeoPlanet & Pegasus

These require .ini file changes or specific program file changes:
Eudora & Agent

There is no mention of anyone determining how to use Port 1025 with Netscape 4 X, 6X or Mozilla as well as no mention of the Bat.

If anyone has the time to figure out if Port 25 can be used with these email clients, and if so how, or any others not already mentioned as well, we would certainly appreciate your posting.

We also need some AOL users to test if this will work, when connected to AOL using another email client such as Outlook. (cause it's AOL and well you know what that means )

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help.

Enjoy the day and Thanks,
Bob
