NetSol in Trouble?

Hi,

It appears that NetSol has more domain cancellations than new registrations!

The following was posted on the Domian Policy List some time back. These relate to domain name registrations and cancellations on Sep 18/19.

NetSol New Registrations - 20876, cancel - 31421
Register.Com - 4926,54
Dotster.Com - 3875, 0
TuCows.Com - 2723, 15

You can see the list at
http://lists.netsol.com/cgi-bin/wa?A...S=&P=89692

Regards
Anil Kumar

To think at one time:

20876 x 70

I forgot their true take on the proceeds, something like $7 or $11 per...

That's still quite a bit of automated systems revenues...

Conceptually, if you think about what NetSol did, the underlying core database systems would not be that hard to design...  Their true hurdle was in the scaling of the system...

Just another pointless rambling of mine follows:

#1) Why have you made domain hijacking so eassssssy?!?
#2) Since it is so easy, why do you not have better security methods in place?
((the next 2 really burns me))
#3) If someone does hijack a domain, I see you have spent a vast amount of money to legally be 'Non-Responsible'...
#4) If domain names are not property, then why are you auctioning them off as if they are property with monetary value...

!!!**sigh**!!!

Hi,

They get $6 for every domain.

Terra, let me add some more...

5) Why is it so difficult to contact you...?
6) Why have you resorted to unsolicited email campaigns...?
7) Why are you unable to clean up the obviously broken software that handles some of the automated forms?
8) Why is it so diffcult to change the CRYPT-PW password?

.. and they get 20,000+ new registrations per day!

I am seriously thinking about paying $250 to opensrs and then managing my own domains. Any one done this?

Regards
Anil Kumar
