Found a good book about domains and law etc

I was in SoftPro today, a real bookstore that also has a web site, and was reading a really good book called The Domain Handbook.
http://store.yahoo.com/softpro/0-87930-515-0.html

At first I thought who needs a big book about domains, you just go and register it right?! However there was a lot of history of domains and cases and case law regarding trademarks and other things with regards to domains. For example the case of Adam Curry registering mtv.com and how eventually the big corporation wrested it away from him. It was a precedent setting case. Then the story about how a Wired journalist registered McDonalds.com and told mcdonalds he was doing it and no one there cared or even called him back! Eventually they wised up and he transfered it to them provided they donate money to a school  to have internet installed.
It also talks about how domains are managed via servers etc etc.

Yes, good call on this one.  I picked it up from Amazon. It's received all good reviews over there.

Thanks for bringing it up..... hopefully some of the domain addicts that are slumming in that other thread will see this thread as well

Deb
 - I admit it.  I snagged 12 more today *sigh*

If DomainDeb keeps it up, she's going to need her own server--GOLIATH--for the database of domains she/they own!

==bets the upgrade Sunday was just a troll to get more customers to increase income to fund more domains!==

I think some one amongst us needs help for her domain-gambling addiction... I won't say who, but the name ends with a b and an e. The name also ryhmes with Jeb... and Web.

Hey Deb, how about giving us an guestimated number? I know last time it was around 100 or 200... it was one of the few times I remember thinking 30 domains was nothing.
