Welcome to the Community Forums! Below you will find some general, easy-to-follow Guidelines and Regulations that apply to these forums. We ask that you please follow these simple Guidelines and Regulations in an effort to make your experience, as well as that of the entire community, a pleasant one.
Keep It Family-Friendly, Legal, & Spam-Free
No inappropriate language, images, or content will be permitted anywhere within the FutureQuest forums. All content, images, and language used within the forums must be legal and should be G (General Audience - All Ages) or, at worst, PG (themes that may require Parental Guidance) on a rating scale. The forum moderators will be the sole authority in deciding what does or does not violate this rule. No exceptions.
Be Kind To Each Other
Sharing your thoughts, jokes, experiences, opinions and beliefs is more than encouraged providing you do not do so in such a way that offends, insults, or otherwise disrupts the thoughts, experiences, opinions and beliefs of the others within the community.
Protect Your Privacy - We Cannot Do This For You.
FutureQuest encourages each member to use extreme common sense prior to posting any information within the forums. You should never provide your phone number, social security number, credit card information, address, or any content whatsoever that you do not want the internet at large to have access to. Whether posted within the main forums or within a private message ALL CONTENT AND INFORMATION THAT YOU POST SHOULD BE CONSIDERED OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND TREATED AS SUCH. FutureQuest cannot guarantee the privacy of information posted anywhere within the community forums.
Limited Time to Edit
FutureQuest requests that you use the Preview feature when creating a post to ensure the content of the post is how you intend it to be prior to actually making the post. If however you find that you do need to make a change to the post after it has been published to the forums you may do so by using the Edit feature for up to 4 hours after the time the post was created. After this four (4) hour period, the edit feature will be locked and the post can no longer be modified by you. In this instance you are welcomed to make a follow-up post with any needed corrections as deemed appropriate. FutureQuest will not edit or remove posts by request, unless it is deemed necessary by FutureQuest, for the sake of the Community as a whole.
Please Provide Attributions
If the works of another are required to complete a thought of your own, please remember that you must have permission to post copyrighted works and that you should always give credit where credit is due. When you quote from a book or other printed material, please note the title, author, and page number if known. If you are quoting from a web site or other virtual media please remember to include the name of the author, the address of the web site and any other information that is appropriate. When quoting another individual within the forums you should always try to include their forum name and a link to their original comment if possible.
Try to Remain on Topic
Though we understand that many discussions will branch off into other discussions we ask that you do your best to keep each post "on topic" with the original post in the thread. If you do notice that the thread is starting to go into a different discussion please take the time to
begin a new thread with the new topic, and to ensure that the new topic is continued in the appropriate forum. This will greatly increase the usefulness of the forums for those that need to search back in time to find answers and assistance.
FutureQuest's Right To Remove, Not Remove, Move, or Split Content
FutureQuest reserves the right to Remove, Not Remove, Move, or Split any content (including, but not limited to topics, posts, and user accounts) at any time for any reason, without prior or post notification.
Expired Threads
All threads that do not receive any new posts for a period of 120 days or longer will be locked and considered expired. Some threads, depending on their content and usefulness over a shorter period of time, may be expired/locked sooner. If you feel the need to comment on an expired thread we ask that you begin a new thread in the appropriate forum and simply include a link to the expired content along with your questions or comments concerning that thread.
Any content found to be in violation of these Guidelines and Regulations will be removed immediately without notification. The user who posted the content may also be banned (temporarily, or permanently) if that action is deemed appropriate based on the situation.
If you believe that there is content on the forums which is in violation of these Guidelines and Regulations, please contact us via the
Service Desk, and we will look into the matter as quickly as possible.
