We’ve just added another new feature to the CNC that offers the Site Owner’s more control over their password functionality. It was one of those things that suddenly “just made sense” ;)
OLD WAY: Visit Change Password and make the request. This would change the password for your Telnet, SSH, FTP, CNC, and shell email account.
NEW WAY: Visit Change Password and make the request. This will change the password for your Telnet, SSH, FTP, and CNC login but it will NOT change the password for your Shell Email Account.
You may now have a different password for your shell email account then what you have for the rest of the “root privileges” on your account. This helps those that want to give access to their shell email account to someone else while not giving up access to things such as the CNC.
To change the password on your shell email account, simply visit the Email Manager within your CNC and click on that account to perform the task just as you would for any of your other POP accounts.
Note that if your shell email account is forwarded… then a password change does not matter and therefore the Change Password option will not be there until you remove the forwarding from that account.
Enjoy!
