Sorry to hear that, Deb. Perhaps if we all think very much of you you'll feel better.
You should forget us some times and have a rest, OK?
Feel better soon!

Hey all, Did ya miss me? *g*
I spent the night in ER last night -- YUK! Seems I landed myself a pretty good kidney infection that made my body say "NOPE I Ain't workin for you no more!" so we had to take it in and change it's mind http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif
I'll probably spend the day on the forums etc but I wont be touching any 'vital files' today because I'm ummm well ummm enjoying pain killers today *g*
So if I seem a bit "off" you'll know why....
I just know I've been a bit silly since the demorol shot and now I've got codein to utilize so I'm warning you ahead of time hehe.
Hope all is well for everyone... I'm now going to see what you guys did while unattended to in the forums *g*

Oh no! So sorry to hear that, Deb!
Coincidently, I was just reading a book on some of the health studies that have been done on vegetarians vs meat-eaters (mostly studies that the meat industry works very hard to keep covered up, which is also documented), and it said that vegetarianism, or at least a diet low in meat and animal products, reduces the risk of things going wrong with kidneys by an incredible amount!
Shaytar and I have been vegetarian for 6 weeks now, and definately don't want to go back!
Hmm, and I remember reading a while back a post that TeRRa signed "Will Work For Food." How about you sponsor me a Green Card, and I'll come cook for you and your family wonderful vegetarian food (ask Shaytar), and you pay me with a fancy account on FQuest? http://www.aota.net/ubb/wink.gif http://www.aota.net/ubb/wink.gif http://www.aota.net/ubb/wink.gif
I really do hope you feel better. If you want to know more about the studies about kidney health I was reading, fling me an email.

Thank you for all of the kind thoughts ... yes it does help http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif
I received confirmation of the diagnosis today and had to just say 'wow'.... apparently what I had, if gone untreated, would have left me dead in a week or less. But treated they had me in and out in a night and within two days I was feeling better.
This infection works in such a way that it eats the kidney from the inside out... and does so quickly.... it's amazing to me still to this day how affective a 'simple' antibiotic can be. From something that could kill me to feeling 'fine' in only two/three days is amazing...
So for anyone feel a lil under the whether right now and possibly just taking so much as an asprin or some cough medicine maybe tis time we take a concious moment and realize we've come a long ways to be able to have these types of things available to us, no matter how much they cost.
And for anyone with that lower back pain that may think it's the kidney... go have it checked out ASAP http://www.aota.net/ubb/wink.gif
Deb
Thankful that she went to the doc!
