Hello everyone,
Signed up yesterday, and everything already seems to be working except for the transferring of the domain, but that's Internic's fault not FQ's...
How long should I wait after the domain's been transferred before it could be called reliable for e-mail and www? I understand that even if it seems to be working for me, not everyone's ISP's will have the new info yet, and I don't want to give out the addresses until I know they really will work.

I would give it two to three weeks to be sure... transfers are never fun http://www.aota.net/ubb/frown.gif

Wow, thanks for replying so quickly, the nice things everyone's been saying in these forums are true! Anyway, I've set Hypermart (where the domain was before) to redirect to a temporary free pop3 account for now, is that going to be a stable enough changeover for e-mail when the domain finally transfers? I think it should be reliable enough to upload a coming soon page to hypermart in the style of the rest newly designed pages which can go here soon.. when I finally finish them..

Sounds like a perfect plan to me http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif

Everything should work out fine for you doing it that way...

Hi, David -- my request for domain transfer was submitted on a Saturday evening. The Internic confirmed the transfer by the following Monday, and I was able to reach my site on FQuest via my domain name by that Tuesday.

In contrast, when I first had the domain transferred to my previous host, it took almost a week before I received a confirmation from the Internic.
