can anyone tell me why images i upload to my bulletin board don't show?

i use front page98.
i upload, and then i post on a page by writing
"[img]http://mynet/imagename.jpg[img]".

in the past this was a simple operation. now i can view neither the ones i just uploaded nor the old ones.[ photos / jpegs].

Are you sure that is exactly what you typed? If so, then that last img tag needs to have a slash in it

[ /img ]

^ slash

(and no spaces)

If you did put the slash in on your UBB, then you are probably putting the wrong URL. What folder/directory are the images in?

For example, if the images are in

/big/dom/xyourdomain/images

then you would need to put

[ img ]http://yourdomain.net/images/imgname.jpg[ /img]

(with no spaces)

Does this help?

THE PROBLEM IS UNKNOWN. I UPLOADED BOTH WITH FRONT PAGE AND USING CNC. TWO CAN BE SEEN. THE REST NOT. SO THERE ARE MANY JPG'S THAT I SEE IN THE FILE AND CANNOT SEE. THERE SHOULD BE ALSO MAYBE 50 JPGS THAT CAME WITH THE MOVE AND ARE LOST OR MISSING.

IN FILEMAN, UNDER WWW/IMAGES, IN THE LIST OF FILES:
THE TWO JPG'S I SEE HAVE A RED AND GREEN ICON AND YOU CAN CLICK ON THEM.
THE ONES NOT SEEN HAVE A GREEN ICON [THE RED PART MISSING] AND YOU CANNOT CLICK ON THEM.~#

Please do *not* type in all caps as it appears that you are shouting at us... It is all part of netetiquette and best that you learn this now, instead of getting royally flamed by someone outside the FutureQuest Community...

In the CNC File Manager, the ones you can click on have the .jpg extension in lower case. The ones you cannot click on have the .JPG extension in all upper case. Lowercase is the default and is clickable from within the CNC upper case is not even though they will still work on your website.

Make sure when you are linking to your images you match the CaSe exactly as it is in the file name. Because this is case sensitive it is usually helpful to treat all file names the same to lesson confusion about which ones are in upper case and which ones are not.
