I'm trying to modify commerce.cgi to NOT take credit cards. I simply want it to send me an email with the order. But when I remove the references to it in the offline order form, it won't get past the error check to confirm the order. Where would I look to remove this part of the error checking.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to remove the credit card processing logic from a complex shopping cart application by just deleting a few fields. To achieve what you want to do, you will probably need the services of a professional developer to remove the credit card functionality.

It wouldn't be worth a professional since I'm doing it to practically give away some used homeschool books on my homeschoolcam.com site. What about tricking it by putting in hidden values that take up the space but don't mean anything?

Well, I changed some of the input types to hidden and provided them a value and it works out.
