Ok, here we go... I'm certainly not going to be too proud to request your help here so ummmm taking advantage of the most popular tech support subject --- "HELP!" ;)

For those with both Netscape 4.x browsers and browsers that actually work please view the following page:

http://www.FutureQuest.net/About/Map/

It works in IE and later versions of NS etc..but in various versions of Netscape 4.x (4.5 for example) it does not work.

If I take the map out of the many frames that it's in it will work ok as shown here (http://futurequest.net/About/Map/Map-Plain.html).

Is anyone able to make it work as-is within Netscape 4.x as well? :QThuh:

For those wanting to dig into the code a zip file is available here (http://www.FutureQuest.net/About/Map/Map.zip) for download.

- I'm thinking it would work if we turn the map upside down

I was going to take a stab at seeing if I could find anything helpful, but uh-oh... Looks like a healthy dose of DHTML-ish JavaScript with lots of layering and CSS. Combine that with frames, and you're virtually assured of having problems with NS 4.x. :(

On the brighter side, it's a cool looking menu. :)

Well I _know_ it's not _that_ bad because there are no frames :P As far as the rest of your post...yeah I agree...but there is a will so I'm hoping there's a way :)

Probably not the answer you were waiting for, but IMHO it would be much easier and better to have a expanded standard HTML index without all the JavaScript/DHTML.

That would be more user friendly, more Browser compatible and more time efficient. This thingy looks a lot like one of those solutions looking for a problem.

It does not work in Opera either. Although Opera at least expands the treeview to make it usable.

Just my 2 cents,

it would be much easier and better to have a expanded standard HTML index without all the JavaScript/DHTML. Yeah I have one of those as well. That's my fall-back plan but I wasn't about to fall back without seeing if someone out here was able to wave a magic wand over it first :P

- Just cuz 20 people tell you so, does that really make it so?
