I'm thinking of taking over a high-traffic UBB site and was wondering if you guys would allow that. I'd probably have to beef up my account to Gold, but otherwise...
TIA,

If you are going to take over a high traffic UBB then I'd suggest you convert it to vBulletin. You'll be much happier with the speed, admin functions, etc. And you don't have to lose a single post or user. The search function works wonderful and you get the results in seconds. The search function on my UBB didn't work because it was taking to much from the CPU. Also with UBB, if you don't prune the busiest forums constantly you will crash the server....thankfully, here at FutureQuest the CGI gaurdian would come up so the server wouldn't have to be reset.

Many people define "high traffic" in different ways. Without knowing how high the traffic is it's impossible for us to really give you a solid answer.
What I can tell you is -- As long as it does not affect the other sites on the server then it is more than fine.
Many "high-traffic" UBBs operate without a problem on FutureQuest, others however have "extremely high" traffic and in those cases Kara's words ring true.

- After all Unlimited Bandwidth equates to an average of 2 to 5GB .. how "high" is that?
