View Full Version : Hmmm . . .
. . . this could be scary if you think about it too much.
"There will be a great thunder (collapsing of buildings), two brothers (World Trade Buildings) torn apart by Chaos, while the fortress (America) endures. The great leader (whoever masterminded the destruction) will succumb. The third big war will begin when the big city (New York) is burning". - Nostradamus, 1654

First of all, Nostradamus lived from 1503-1566. Thus a tad inaccurate on date unless perhaps referencing a publishing date. Minor quibbling I know... sorry.
Ah, the first turn of the wheel (century).. the twisted games have been stepped up. And as sad as it is to say, this is only the beginning for humanity, yet the middle for others. There is already a war going on unseen. Do a bit of reading re: Mabus, Alus and Perse... not to mention the child. Eh... it's a topic that I best not go into.

Please let me know when I can come out of the corner and take off this silly pointed hat!

... and so does Rincewind, the least successful wizard to ever pass through the halls of Unseen University. And it has WIZZARD written on it, just in case anyone should be in any doubt.

My apologies if I came off as condescending in my above reply... wasn't my intent. Just is an issue that hits too close to home for me to begin to talk about and not a joking matter to me personally. :(
No harm done, Armand - and I apologise in my turn if my post seemed in any way frivolous. Certainly no-one would make a joking matter of the appalling tragedies which have occurred in your country, perhaps least of all someone who experienced, albeit as a child, the Nazi bombing campaign directed against Britain during WW2.
As already stated in another post elsewhere in these forums, my heartfelt sympathy goes out to all Americans, in particular to those who have been directly affected by these atrocities. I am looking at Deb's ideas to find ways in which I might offer practical help.
It's said that there's a silver lining in every cloud. Whilst it is difficult now to see any in the pall which covers Manhattan, it may be that this act will coalesce anti-terrorist activities towards eradicating this scourge of our societies.

Right. As it turns out, Nostradamus himself is just another internet hoax! ;)
