A tricky question, I know....

What could be the best hosting package to choose in terms of bandwidth, for a web site receiving 4000 visitors per month with a steady average of 21000 pages viewed per month?

Any help appreciated.

G'Mornin :)

If, for instance, each of your web pages was around 50 KB and they were accessed and downloaded, fully, 21000 times each month your actual bandwidth would be around 1 GB.

50KB X 21000 = 1050000KB / 1024 = 1025.39 MB / 1024 = 1.001 GB

So to really try to project your actual bandwidth you need to know the weight/size on average of your web pages and then calculate from there.

Now, don't forget that cacheing, by repeat visitors will save you bandwidth and further complicate the entire projection. %)

Hope this helps,
Bob
